MBMC Recruitment 2020: 819 Vacancies Announced for Medical Staff

Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation is inviting offline applications to fill up multiple medical posts in COVID prevention and control units on a contractual basis

Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation has published an official advertisement for recruitment into 819 vacant positions. The detailed advertisement in the Marathi language is available at the official website of the Corporation i.e. mbmc.gov.in. Candidates meeting the eligibility conditions can apply for the posts of Physician (20), Anesthesiologist (06), Medical Officer (87), Medical Officer (Ayush) (89), Hospital Manager (09), Nurse (492), Obstetrician (40), X-Ray Technician (08), ECG Technician (08), Laboratory Technician (28) and Pharmacist (32). The mode of application is offline and aspiring candidates can apply on the prescribed proforma available at the official website. The last date of receipt of the applications is June 20, 2020.

Relevant minimum educational qualification pertaining to each cadre of the post is specified in the detailed advertisement published by the Corporation on its official website. To apply for the posts of Physician, Anesthesiologist, and Medical Officer, an MBBS degree is necessary. Applicants for Medical Officer (Ayush) must have BAMS/BHMS/BUMS degree. Nursing candidates must have GNM/B.Sc. Nursing qualification while Pharmacist candidates must have B. Pharm/D. Pharm qualification. In order to apply for the posts of X-Ray & ECG Technician, candidates must have a Graduation in Science. For the post of Laboratory Technician, candidates must have passed B.Sc. with DMLT. in order to apply for the post of Hospital Manager, one must have medical graduation. For the post of Obstetrician, the minimum educational qualification is Class 12th. In addition, the upper age limit of candidates is fixed at 60 years.

Once candidates have ensured that they meet all specified eligibility conditions, they can proceed to print out the application proforma from the website and fill it up. This is the only mode of application accepted by the MBMC for recruitment into the aforementioned posts. Candidates are required to fill up information including full name, address, mobile number, email id, date of birth, etc. In addition, one must also attach proof of age, degree certificates, final year mark sheet, and experience certificate along with the application form.

Selected candidates are appointed to the vacant positions for a period of 03 months only. The selection is made on the basis of the educational qualification of the candidate which carries 80 marks, additional qualification which carries 10 marks and experience which carry 10 marks. The Corporation has notified that retired candidates with experience in hospitals are preferred for appointment at a priority basis at COVID Care Center, Dedicated COVID Health Center, Dedicated COVID Hospital under the jurisdiction of the Corporation. In addition, experience of working in government/semi-government organisations is considered for merit. The final selection list is published at the official website at the discretion of the MBMC.
