Deendayal Port Trust Apprentice Recruitment 2020: 194 Vacancies Announced for ITI, Diploma & Degree(Engg) Holder

Deendayal Port Trust, Gujarat has advertised the commencement of one year apprenticeship training for ITI/Diploma/Degree holders on a monthly stipend basis

Deendayal Port Trust is inviting online applications for recruitment into 01-year apprenticeship training from candidates having ITI trade certificates and Diploma/Degree engineers. The last date to apply for selection into the vacant positions is July 07, 2020, for all posts. A total number of 194 vacancies have been advertised through the official website in a detailed document identified as notice number ML/PS/1503-A(18) and dated 17/06/2020. The same can be downloaded from the website deendayalport.gov.in. Eligible candidates who wish to apply must not wait till the last date.

The 194 vacancies advertised are bifurcated across the posts reserved for ITI trade certificate holders and diploma/degree engineering qualification holders. For ITI trade certificate holders, 122 vacancies are available in the trades of Fitter, Draughtsman, Mechanic Diesel, Electrician, Computer Operator, and Programming Assistant, Programming and Systems Administration Assistant, Wireman, Turner, Welder, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, and Secretarial Assistant. On the other hand, 36 vacancies are available for Diploma Engineers in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology. For Degree Engineers, 36 vacancies are available in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology.

In order to apply for the vacancies in ITI Trade Apprenticeship, candidates must be holding an NCVT/SCVT issued trade certificate in the relevant trade. On the other hand, in order to apply for the vacancies in Apprenticeship for Diploma Engineering, candidates must be holding a regular Diploma in the relevant discipline obtained from a state or centrally recognized technical education board. In order to apply for the vacancies in Apprenticeship for Degree Engineering, candidates must be holding a regular degree in Engineering/Technology granted by a recognized university/institution. Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in the same trades/disciplines before are not eligible to apply. Those employed in Government or Private Sector organizations are also not eligible to apply. The maximum permissible age of the applicants is 28 years as on August 30, 2020.

The application process for ITI trade apprenticeship and diploma/degree apprenticeship is different. Those wishing to apply for trade apprenticeship must at the first register at apprenticeshipindia.org to generate the 10 digit Apprenticeship Registration Number and activate their login account. Thereafter, the profile must be updated with all the necessary details. Once they have registered, these candidates must click on “Apply Now” on the official website of the Deendayal Port Trust to “Sign Up” and fill up the application form.

Candidates who wish to apply for Diploma/Degree Apprenticeship must at first, register at mhrdnats.gov.in to get the 16 digit Enrollment Number. Thereafter, they can apply at the DPT website using the “Apply Now” link to “Sign Up” and fill up the online application form.

The selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of merit i.e. the total marks obtained in all semesters/years and the sum of total maximum marks in all semesters/years. DPT publishes the merit list on the official website only. Selected candidates have to produce all necessary documents/testimonials along with photographs, aadhar card, and bank account linked to the aadhar card. Finally selected candidates must produce medical fitness obtained from the Chief Medical Officer of DPT, Gopalpuri Hospital, Gujarat 370240. Once selected, candidates are entitled to receive a monthly stipend as per their post and paid leaves in the form of 12 Casual Leaves and 15 Medical Leaves a year. Candidates who have completed 1-year ITI course are entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 7700 while those who completed 2 years ITI course are entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 8050. Secretarial Assistants and Degree holders are entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 9000 while diploma holders are entitled to a stipend of Rs 8000.
