All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur is recruiting for 131 posts of Senior Resident in multiple departments of the organization. An official notice is available at the website of the Institute i.e. aiimsjodhpur.edu.in. Candidates having the relevant qualification and complying with the age limitations can apply for the recruitment. The online application process has already commenced on June 15 and continues until July 14, 2020. A candidate is allowed to apply for the post in only one particular department. AIIMS, Jodhpur is to conduct a written exam and interview for the final selection of eligible applicants.
The total number of vacancies is bifurcated in the categories of UR, OBC, SC & ST across 41 different departments of the Institute. One can check the department and category-wise vacancy distribution from the official notification available at the AIIMS Jodhpur website. In order to apply for the vacant positions of Senior Resident, Indian citizens having a relevant MD/MS/DNB/MSc/MCh/DM/MDS qualification are eligible. However, such a qualification must have been obtained by 31st July 2020. In addition, candidates must be compliant with the upper age limit which is 45 years for Unreserved candidates as on the last date to apply online. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST category, OBC category, and PwBD category, a maximum relaxation of 05, 03, and 10 years respectively is allowed.
Having ensured that all eligibility conditions are satisfied, candidates can proceed to register their applications at the official website of AIIMS, Jodhpur only. An application fee of Rs 1000 must be paid online by General and OBC candidates. SC/ST candidates have to deposit Rs 800 as an application fee while PwBD candidates are totally exempted from the payment of the application fee. At the time of applying online, candidates are not required to upload/email any document. However, such documents should be in possession and must be produced at the time of the final interview.
AIIMS, Jodhpur is selecting candidates on the basis of a written exam and a final interview. The exam consists of MCQ type questions carrying 40% of the total weightage of the selection criterion. 30% weightage is carried by academic records and another 30% is carried by the final interview. The Institute releases the list of eligible candidates for the written exam and subsequently for the interview through the official website only. The waiting list of selected candidates is to remain valid for 06 months after the publication of the result.
Selected candidates are appointed for an initial period of 01 years which is extendable up to 03 years depending upon the performance and conduct of a candidate. Such candidates are provided compensation of Rs 18,750 + 6600 + NPA and other allowances as per 7th CPC Matrix at Level 11. This culminates to an entry level pay of Rs 67,700 + NPA and other allowances. Candidates cannot however engage in private practice during their tenure.
