Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Mumbai is inviting applications for recruitment of Non-Executives to 1,980 vacancies. Formerly known as Mazagon Dock Limited, the Govt of India Undertaking has notified 1,980 vacancies for thirty skilled and semi-skilled trade specific posts. Government job aspirants can apply online for the almost two thousand vacancies in Mazagon Dock at mazagondock.in until last date of the online form submission that is September 5.
The lowest educational qualification requirement is class 8 pass. Class 8 pass candidates with ITI in cutting and tailoring or sewing can apply for sail maker post. National Apprenticeship Certificate holders who have passed class 8 can apply for carpenter if they passed in carpenter trade, can apply for composite welders if they cleared welder, or go for painter post if they have passed painter or marine painter trade.
Class 10 pass, 12 pass, diploma, degree holders can apply for relevant posts as per eligibility criteria outlined in advertisement number MDL/HR-REC-NE/90/2019. To become a part of Mazagon Dock, work experience is not compulsory, however it is desirable to have one or more years of experience in relevant trade. Work experience carries marks, upto 20, in the selection process.
Last date to apply for Mazagon Dock recruitment 2019 is September 5. MDL will display list of eligible candidates on September 13. Then it will accept representations against ineligibility until September 18. Tentatively, the date for announcement of online exam is September 23.
In the Mazagon Dock recruitment 2019 notification, trades are divided by name and type. The types of trades are skilled-I ID-V, semi skilled ID-II, semi skilled ID-IV A, skilled ID-IX. The trade posts are including but not limited to structural fabricator, fitter, pipe fitter, composite welder, electronic mechanic, junior quality check inspector, gas cutter, painter, utility hand semi skilled to name a few.

Those who qualify will be required to work on production related job / outfitting work as per the production norms and multi trade policies in force with the company. All the candidates will be on a fixed term contract basis of two years.
The candidates selected for the post of Skilled Gr-I (IDA-IX) will be entitled to a pay scale of 22000-83180. Similarly, Skilled Gr-I (IDA-VIII) will get 21000-79380 pay scale, Skilled Gr-I (IDA-V) have a pay scale of 17000- 64360 , Semi-Skilled Gr-I (IDA-IVA) have 16000-60520, and Semi-Skilled Gr-I (IDA-II) have 13200-49910.
