Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan is going to begin the application process for the Kerala Teacher’s Entrance Test (KTET) 2021 tomorrow, April 28, 2021. Authorities released the official notification regarding the exam on Friday, April 23, 2021, on the official website ktet.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates can apply for the exam on the official website and the last date to do so is May 06, 2021. Subsequently, the last date to take the final printout of the application form is May 07, 2021. Authorities shall be notifying candidates later about the KTET 2021 exam date and release of admit cards.
Candidates can apply for the KTET 2021 examination on the official website ktet.kerala.gov.in once the link has been activated tomorrow. On the official website, they must click on the KTET 2021 registration link and enter all the required details to register for the exam. After successful registration, system-generated user ID and password shall be created. Candidates have to enter these credentials to log in to the website.
Registered candidates must then, fill the KTET 2021 application form and submit it after entering all the required information. Thereafter, they are required to pay the application fee and take a print-out of the confirmation page. They must also keep a copy of the duly filled application form for future reference.
Authorities have also specified the application fee in the official notification. Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories must pay Rs.500 as an application fee. On the other hand, SC, ST category candidates must pay RS.250 as a registration fee for KTET 2021. They can make the payment using online payment facilities like Credit Card, Debit Card and Net banking.
Kerala Pariksha Bhavan has also specified the eligibility criteria to apply for the exam. These criteria vary according to the schools for which the candidates are applying. Candidates willing to teach lower primary classes must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45 per cent. However, those applying for higher primary classes must have acquired any Bachelor’s degree like B.A, B.Com and B.Sc.
Candidates who have completed their graduation with a minimum of 45 per cent marks and have a B.Ed degree are eligible to apply for the high school teaching position. Those aspirants who have acquired a certificate, diploma or degree in teaching any subject can also apply for the position of high school class teacher. However, the degree/diploma/certificate must be approved by universities, examination board, Kerala state government or NCTE (National Council for Teaching Education).
KTET 2021 examination date shall be announced by authorities in due course of time. The state-level entrance test shall comprise of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks. Candidates appearing for the exam can download the syllabus from the official website ktet.kerala.gov.in. They are also advised to read the official notification carefully before applying for the exam.
