Karnataka Public Service Commission has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the Group A & B (Technical) Vacancies. Aspirants can download the recruitment notification with Advt. No. 02/2020 from the official website, kpsc.kar.nic.in. The conducting body has announced a total of 251 vacancies for Group A and Group B posts. Interested candidates can apply online for the announced posts from July 10, 2020, onwards through kpsc.kar.nic.in. Aspirants can submit their online representations for Group A & B (Technical) posts up to August 10, 2020.
Eligible candidates can apply for the announced posts through the official website of KPSC. Candidates have to create an account through the registration window. After the successful registration, login ID and password is generated to login and fill the online application form. Candidates belonging to general category have to pay Rs. 600/- whereas 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B candidates have to pay Rs.250/- as the application fee. However, Ex-servicemen have to pay Rs.50 and SC/ST candidates are exempted from the fee submission. The specified application fee can be paid either their online payment gateways such as debit card, credit or through Citizen Service Centre.
Candidates have to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria as specified by the conducting body. For the post of District Manager Grade-A, District Manager Grade-B and Taluk Development Officer, candidates must have an MBA with Specialization (Finance/ Marketing/ HR). Candidates who wish to apply for Assistant Engineer Division-I (Civil) and Assistant Engineer Division-I (Mechanical) shall possess Engineering degree in the relevant field. For Assistant Director, candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, Bachelor Degree in Environmental/ Chemical Engineering for Environmental Engineer in Local Bodies, B.E. in any branch of Engineering/B.Tech/Masters degree in Business Management for Assistant Director (Industries and Commerce), Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy and M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics/Industrial Pharmacy and Bachelor Degree with Kannada as the Main subject for Assistant Director/Gazetted Manager/Manager.
For the selection for the candidates, KPSC conducts an online examination. Candidates have to take a computer-based competitive examination in which they have to attempt multiple-choice questions. The CBT examination is conducted for 400 marks. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. The online examination is followed by the document verification/interview round. For this, candidates have to send images of the original documents online to Karnataka Public Service Commission. After the verification, candidates are sent a message via email inviting them for the face to face interview. Candidates are required to attend the interview at the commission’s office as per the date and time allotted to them.
