Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited has announced 393 openings for the posts of Management Trainee, Engineer, Officer, Operator Trainee, Boiler Operator, and Junior Fireman. A detailed recruitment advertisement is published on the official website i.e. rcfltd.com indicating the bifurcation of vacancies across the posts and other details of eligibility and application process. The online application process is commencing on June 29, 2020, and will close on July 15, 2020. Eligible candidates are advised to apply before the last date by filling in the application form available on the aforementioned website. RCFL is set to conduct the online exam for the selection of candidates on August 16, 2020. Candidates can expect the results to be released on August 24, 2020. The final selection of candidates is done through Personal Interviews for the MT/Engineer/Officer category and Trade Test for Worker Category.
The 393 total vacancies are bifurcated across the posts of MT (Chemical)-60, MT (Boiler)-21, MT (Mechanical)-48, MT (Electrical)-22, MT (Instrumentation)-35, Engineer (Chemical)-10, Officer (Marketing)-10, Assistant Officer (Marketing)-14, Operator Trainee (Chemical)-125, Boiler Operator (Grade III)-25 and Junior Fireman (Grade II)-23. The minimum educational qualifications and work experience required to apply for these aforementioned posts are detailed in the official advertisement. MT/Engineer/Officer applicants are absorbed in E1 Grade after training in the pay scale of 40,000 to 1,40,000. On the other hand, Operator Trainees are absorbed in Grade II after training at the pay scale of 22,000 to 60,000. Boiler Operators are appointed in Grade III on the pay scale of 20,000 to 55,000 while Junior Firemen are appointed at Grade II at the pay scale of Rs 18,000 to 42,000.
In general, candidates need 4 years B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree in a relevant discipline to apply for the posts of Management Trainee and Engineer. One must have an MBA/MMS degree in a relevant discipline to apply for the post of Officer and B.Tech (Agriculture) to apply for the post of Assistant Officer. In the worker category, candidates need a B.Sc (Chemistry) degree with NCVT in AO(CP) trade to apply for the post of Operator Trainee (Chemical). SSC passed candidates with Certificate of Competency as Boiler Attendant of Second Class can apply for the post of Boiler Operator (Grade III) while SSC passed candidates with 6 months residential Fireman certificate from SFTC can apply for the post of Junior Fireman (Grade II).
The application process is conducted online only at the website of RCF i.e. rcfltd.com. Candidates are required to go to the website before the specified last date and fill up the online application form which is available under the recruitment section of the website. An application fee of Rs 1000 must be paid by General candidates applying for the post of MT/Engineer/Officer. General candidates applying for the Worker category posts must pay an application fee of Rs 700. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD categories are completely exempted from the payment of any application fee whatsoever. Relaxations on the upper age limit is also applicable to candidates belonging to such special reserved categories.
Once the application process is over, eligible candidates are shortlisted on the basis of an online exam. The online exam consists of a question paper on discipline-related questions and general aptitude. The total marks is 100 and candidates and the marks are considered for final selection. After qualifying in the online test, Personal Interview is staged for the selection of MT/Engineer/Officer post applicants while those who apply for the Worker category posts are selected through the Trade Test. Finally selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India at the discretion of RCF Limited.
