The University of Kerala on June 08, 2018 issued a notification in which it has been stated the exam date for KMAT Kerala 2018 has been postponed. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on June 28, 2018, however, now it will be held on July 08, 2018.
The authorities have stated that the exam is being postponed due to Nipah Virus scare. The state has been struggling with the dangerous Nipah virus disease. Due to this, many entrance tests which were scheduled to be held in the district of Kozhikode and Malappuram districts have been postponed.
The exam conducting body has also extended the last date for registration. The candidates were supposed to register until June 07, 2018 (05:00 PM), however, now it has been extended until, June 25, 2018. This is a good opportunity for those who have not yet applied for the exam.
To register online, the candidates need to visit the official website of KMAT Kerala at kmatkerala.in. On the home page then click on the link for “Registration” button. Register online by entering details such as Name of the applicant, Date of Birth, Gender, Email ID, Fee Category. Click on Submit button and you wil receive your Application Number and Password. Next, the candidates need to log in again and fill in details in the KMAT Kerala 2018 Application Form.
The registration process is open to all the candidates. There is no such domicile requirement. Even those who appeared for the February exam can also apply and appear for KMAT Kerala 2018 June exam to improve their score.
This year, 04 new test centers have been added for KMAT Kerala 2018 June exam. The four new centers are Mangalore, Bangalore, Chennai, and Coimbatore. However, if the number of candidates who enroll for the exam at these centers is too low, then ASC reserves the right to cancel any of these centers without any notice.
The Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) Kerala is a State level entrance test which is held two times a year. Earlier, the exam was being known as KMAT only. However, another entrance test which was being conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) was also named as KMAT. To differentiate the two exams, the name was changed to KMAT Kerala.
The candidates are offered admission in MBA programme in various management institutes in the state of Kerala. The shortlisting of candidates are done on the basis of their performance in KMAT 2018 score. There are various colleges which accept KMAT Score, such as College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, T.K.M.College of Engineering, Lourdes Matha College of Science & Technology, T.K.M.Institute of Management, Institute of Management in Kerala, to name a few.
