Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced SSC Result 2018. The result was announced early morning in a conference meet. However, the link to check Maharashtra SSC Result 2018 became active at 01:00 pm, on June 08, 2018.
In order to check the result, the candidates will have to visit the official website, mahresult.nic.in and click on the appropriate link. The candidates will then have to enter roll number and mother’s first name. The result of Maharashtra SSC Result 2018 will display the marks secured by the candidates in each subject and in total. Along with it, the pass / fail status will also be displayed via it.
The result can be accessed through SMS service as well. Students need to type their seat number and send it to 57766 or 58888111. The result will be sent to the concerned mobile number.
Approximately 17.51 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. Out of which, 9.7 lakh boys and 7.7 lakh girls appeared. The performance of the girls was better than boys. The pass percentage for girls is 91.17%, whereas, the same for the boys is 87.27%. As per the reports, the pass percentage this year is 89.41%. Since last year, there has been an increase of 0.67%, as the pass percentage, last year, was 88.74%.
Last year SSC results were announced on June 13, 2018. Around 17.6 lakh students registered for examination. While 16.8 appeared for the examination. Out of total, around 9.8 lakh were girls and 7.7 lakh boys. Examinations were held on 4,728 exam centres.
The best scoring district is Konkan, with a pass percentage of 96%. On the other hand, the least scoring district is Nagpur, where the pass percentage got stagnant at 85.97%.
This year, 125 students have secured 100 percentage in Maharashtra SSC 2018. The number of candidates scoring above 90% marks is 63,331. There are more than 4000 schools where the pass percentage was 100.
Students under the handicapped category have also performed marvellously in the examination. In all, 86.87% PH candidates have qualified the exam. Under the Blind category, 894 candidates appear for the exam and 828 qualified it. In Deaf category, the number of appeared candidates was 1673 and out of these 1401 has passed. In ortho, 2445 appeared and 2108 passed.
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education came into existence in 1965. It is divided into 9 divisions across the state. Its headquarters are in Pune. The board is a statutory body which conducts SSC and HSC examination twice a year. It provides quality education to all the students.
