KCET 2021

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has extended the registration deadline for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or UGCET 2021. Accordingly, the last date to submit the application form has been extended to July 16, 2021. Subsequently, the last date to pay the prescribed application fee is July 19, 2021. The entire KCET 2021 registration fee is online and has to be completed on the official website kea.kar.nic.in. However, candidates applying for the exam under the special category have to submit their certificates in-person to the concerned authorities at various centres. The KCET or UGCET 2021 exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 28 and 29, 2021 and the Kannada Language Test will be held on August 30, 2021.

KCET 2021 registration process began on June 15, 2021, and was previously, scheduled to end on July 10, 2021. Furthermore, the last date to pay the application fee was July 13, 2021. However, the state examination authority received multiple requests from students to extend the registration deadline. Acknowledging and accepting these requests, the state has decided to reschedule the last date to submit the application form to July 16, 2021.

Students must bear in mind that there is no change in the examination schedule. As decided previously, the KCET or UGCET exams will be held as per schedule in the fourth week of August 2021. Furthermore, special category students are required to submit their special certificates in-person within the prescribed application deadline, from July 14 to 20, 2021. These centres have already been listed by authorities on the official website kea.kar.nic.in. These special categories include NCC, Sports, Defence, Ex-Defence, Scouts and Guides, etc.

To apply for the registration process, candidates have to follow 7-step application process. The process is as follows:

Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website kea.kar.nic.in.

Step 2: They are required to click on the registration link “UGCET 2021 Application Form”.

Step 3: Candidates must enter the required details to complete the registration process. After doing so, candidates shall receive their login credentials on their registered email ID.

Step 4: Aspirants must use these credentials to login to the official website and access the UGCET 2021 application form.

Step 5: Candidates have to fill the application form with the required details.

Step 6: After filling the form, aspirants must upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.

Step 7: Candidates must submit the form and take a printout of the same for future reference.

KEA conducts the KCET/UGCET every year for admissions to a variety of undergraduate courses such as engineering, pharmacy, however, for admissions to Medicine, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy, candidates will have to appear for the NEET 2021 examination. This is a compulsory criterion to be followed in every state.
