Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced that this year,B.Sc. Nursing admission to the university will be conducted through the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021. However, this year the students will be admitted to the undergraduate course based on their performance in the national-level medical entrance exam. However, along with register for NEET 2021, candidates must also fulfil other eligibility criteria mentioned by the BHU authorities to apply for B.Sc. Nursing 2021 admissions.
BHU has laid down certain eligibility criteria to apply for the B.Sc. Nursing programme 2021. Firstly, candidates must have Indian citizenship. Similarly, physically challenged candidates belonging to general category should have scored/should score a minimum of 45% marks in standard 12.
While all the eligibility criteria are in place, there is still this uncertainty looming about the NEET 2021 revised schedule. The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced the revised schedule for the remaining two sessions of JEE Main 2021. Accordingly, the two sessions are scheduled to be held in the fourth week of July 2021. Hence, students are expecting a firm decision to come out soon about NEET 2021.
After announcing the NEET 2021 exam schedule, the registration process shall follow suit on the official website ntaneet.nic.in. Hence, candidates who wish to pursue the B.Sc. in Nursing course at BHU are advised to keep a track of the official website and reliable news reports to register for the exam on-time.
Every year, BHU offers a 4-year B.Sc. in Nursing course to eligible students based on their performance in the entrance exam. The four-year course covers a range of subjects related to the field like Psychology, Sociology, Medical Surgery, Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, etc. Last year, BHU conducted its own entrance exam. However, this year, performance will be the deciding factor. Last year, a total of 75 seats were offered under this course. The same number of seats are expected to be offered this year.
