Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society is inviting applications to fill up 357 vacancies on a contractual basis. The vacancies are for posts such as Specialist Medical Officer, Radiologist and Medical Officer. As per the detailed advertisement, there are 254 openings available for the post of Specialist Medical Officer. In addition, there are 21 openings available for the post of Radiologist while 82 openings are also available for the post of Medical Officer. Selected candidates are entitled to receive monthly remuneration during the contract period of one year. Specialists will receive Rs 1,05,000 salary per month. Radiologists will receive Rs 1,50,000 salary per month. Medical officers will receive a salary of Rs 63000 per month.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. In terms of age, all applicants have to be below the age of 67 years as on August 01, 2020. In addition, applicants must be adequately qualified in order to apply for individual posts. For the post of Specialist Medical Officer, candidates must have an MBBS degree along with a Post Graduate degree/diploma in Gynecology & Obstetrics/Pediatrics/Anesthesia/Surgeon/ENT/Opthalmology/Orthopedics/Radiology/Dermatology/Physician/Psychiatrist or equivalent.

In general, MBBS candidates with Post Graduate degree/diploma in Radiology are eligible to apply for the post of Radiologist. On the other hand, MBBS degree holders can apply for the post of Medical Officer. Only those candidates who are willing to serve in the state of Jharkhand are required to apply. Therefore, only permanent residents of the state are eligible to apply.
Although the initial contract period is for a tenure of 1 year only, the tenure can be extended depending on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent at the designated job role. However, the recruitment being contractual in nature, candidates cannot claim full-time employment after the end of the contract period. Selection of applicants will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
