Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced the exam date of JIPMER 2019. JIPMER 2019 MBBS entrance exam will be conducted on June 2, 2019, on the basis of the physics, chemistry, biology syllabus of classes eleventh and twelfth. On the basis of merit obtained in the entrance exam, students can bag one of the 200 MBBS seats at JIPMER Puducherry and JIPMER Karaikal.
Announcement of JIPMER 2019 exam date completes the medical entrance exam 2019 calendar for admission in academic session 2019-2020; NTA will conduct NEET 2019 in February (3-17 Feb) and May (12-26 May), AIIMS will conduct AIIMS MBBS 2019 on 25 and 26 May. Thus JIPMER will be the third and last medical entrance exam.
The recently released schedule is uploaded on the official website of Jawahar Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, jipmer.edu.in. The website will be open for filling the application form on March 6 to April 12. Students will get the admit card in the third week of May whereas the exam is scheduled for June 2. Shortly after the exam is conducted, JIPMER 2019 result will be available to the students which will be the chief criteria for giving admission to the MBBS courses.
Students must make sure that they match the eligibility criteria as set by the JIPMER. General category candidates need to have at least 50% marks (all subjects taken together) whereas 40% marks are for the OBC/SC/ST/OPH category candidates.
The JIPMER 2019 exam will be conducted in the online mode. Candidates will have to attempt 200 multiple choice questions in a time limit of 150 mins. Each question of the JIPMER 2019 will carry 4 marks. There is no negative marking in the JIPMER exam. Physics, chemistry, and biology carry 60 marks each whereas english language and composition and logical and quantitative reasoning carries 10 marks each.
JIPMER 2019 syllabus includes topics of physics, chemistry, biology and english have to be covered by the students.
