The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) has released the admit cards for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST). Candidates who have registered for the test can now download the admit cards from the official website – jest.org.in. The examination will be taking place on March 13, 2022, for a duration of 03 hours. JEST 2022 is a screening that will be conducted to admit eligible students to PhD or integrated PhD programmes in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology.
How to download?
JEST 2022 admit card has to be downloaded online. Candidates, after downloading the same, must take a printout. It is mandatory to carry a photo ID proof to get entry to the examination centers. Given below are the steps on how to download the admit cards.
Step 1- Firstly, visit the official website of JEST at jest.org.in
Step 2- A tab named ‘Admit Card ready to download’ will appear on the screen.
Step 3- On the left-hand side of the page, enter login details such as email or username and password.
Step 4- Press the ‘Login’ button after which the option for downloading the admit card will appear.
Step 5- Click on the same and download the admit cards.
It is mandatory to note that all unpaid accounts have been locked. The official website also states that the admit cards will be downloadable from today, i.e. March 01, 2022, onwards. In case there is any difficulty in downloading the admit cards, then the candidates should reach out to the concerned officials at IISER Kolkata. The helpline email is [email protected].
Demo Test
Along with the admit cards, the Demo Test facility has also been activated on the official website. Prior to using the facility, it is essential to check whether the device has the right requirements. Firstly, the supported browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer 9.0/10.0. Moreover, the popup blocker should be turned off. The screen resolution should be kept at 1024 x 768 and above. The internet connection on the device should have a minimum of 512 kbps speed.
Exam Pattern
There will be three sections in the JEST 2022 question paper that will follow an objective-type pattern. While Section A will have 15 questions, Section B will have 10 questions and lastly, Section C will cover 25 questions. The marking scheme has been shown in the table below.
