These rumors had initially provided relief to these students, but now, it has caused tension among the students and teachers.
There are 2 main reasons why many assumed that the class 11 students would be free of public exams this year –
1. The DGE usually conducts 2 revision tests prior to the board exams, to help the students with their preparation. However, this year the first revision test had been conducted only for classes 10 and 12. The second revision test has only been scheduled for these classes.
2. The Minister for School Education in Tamil Nadu, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, had earlier announced that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 will be conducted this year, unlike the past 2 years. Even at that time, there was no news about class 11 exams.
