National Testing Agency is taking off the JEE Main 2021 exam today, February 23, 2021. The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) for admission to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Planning courses is being conducted in four sessions this year viz. February, March, April & May. The exam for February 2021 session are being held from today and will go on till February 26, 2021. JEE Main 2021 is being conducted at the national level and besides admission to UG courses, it also serves as the basic eligibility for the JEE Advanced exam.
On day 1, as is usually the norm with JEE Mains, the papers for B.Arch and B.Planning will be conducted. Reportedly 11 Lakh candidates have overall registered for the exam. Here is wishing a very best of luck to all the candidates out there!

JEE Main 2021 Shift 2 Exam Over
NTA has successfully concluded the first day of JEE Main 2021 Exam. The second shift that took place from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM is also over. It was conducted for the B. Planning programme which is Paper 2B.
JEE Main 2021 Result Date
National Testing Agency, the official conducting body of JEE Main, has already announced the result date for the exam. Aspirants appearing for JEE Main exam can check their result on March 07, 2021 through the official website of JEE Main. Also, the NTA scores will be out along with the JEE Main 2021 Result.
JEE Main 2021 Four Sessions Exam Dates
NTA has announced that JEE Main 2021 Exam will now take place in four sessions. Eligible candidates have to register for these sessions separately through jeemain.nta.nic.in. Over 6 Lakh Candidates Registered for JEE Main 2021 February (1st session)
As per the data shared by NTA, 661776 candidates have registered for the first session for the JEE Mains exam. Out of these candidates, 652627 have applied for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) and 63065 for Paper 2A and Paper 2B (B.Arch. and B.Planning).
Second Shift for JEE Main 2021 Exam Started
The second shift for JEE Main 2021 23 Feb Exam has started at 03:00 PM. The exam will now take place for 03 hours and will end at 06:00 PM.
B.Planning Exam to Take Place in JEE Main 2021 Shift 2
The Shift 2 Exam is about to start for 2B which is the B.Planning programme. Aspirants who have applied for the B. Plan programme will be appearing for JEE Main 2021 Exam in shift 2 which will take place from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
Self-Declaration Form for JEE Main Exam 2021
The Self-Declaration Form is one of the crucial documents to carry to the exam centre. Candidates have to make sure that they enter all the required details in Self Declaration undertaking clear and legible handwriting. Also, paste the passport size photograph and left-hand thumb impression on the appropriate place on JEE Main admit card 2021.
Documents to Carry to JEE Main 2021 Shift 2 Exam
To avoid any case of frisking, candidates have to carry certain documents for identity verification. Aspirants have to carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- JEE Main 2021 Admit Card
- Photo identity proof in original
- Self Declaration Form
- Additional Photograph
Other than these, carry sanitiser, wear a mask, transparent water bottle, transparent ballpoint pen.
Candidates' Experience for JEE Main 2021 B.Arch Exam
Students who appeared for JEE Mains 2021 Exam are satisfied with the level of the exam. The level of the exam is reported to be easy to moderate albeit candidates are happy with the exam. As per students, the nature of the JEE Main 2021 Question Paper was pretty balanced. On one hand, questions from Maths was easy whereas the Aptitude section was moderate. Candidates are content with the level of numerical ability questions of the Maths section.

JEE Main 2021 Shift 1 Exam Analysis
As per exam experts, JEE Main 2021 23 Feb Shift 1 exam was of easy to moderate level. The mathematics section was easier than the previous year exam. However, the Aptitude of the 2A paper (B.Arch) was tougher than the previous year.

Marking Scheme for JEE Mains 2021
Candidates appearing for JEE Mains Exam must know that the marking scheme for the examination. As per the official notice, each question in JEE Main 2021 Exam carries +4 marks. If a candidate marks a correct answer, he/she will get +4 marks for each correct answer. However, there is also a negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 01 marks are deducted. There is no negative marking in Numerical Value Type Questions.
JEE Main May 2021 Clash in Exam Dates
The declaration of JEE Mains being conducted four times a year paved the path for several candidates to appear for the exam as per their preference. Now, candidates can take part in the JEE Main exam in February, March, April and May sessions. However, it is noticed that the May 2021 session was clashing with the CBSE 12th Board 2021 Exam Schedule.
So, to resolve the matter, NTA has suggested candidates provide information under "Whether appearing for Board Examination on any of the dates 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th May 2021". They have to select the Date of their Class 12 Board exam in the May session application form so as to avoid any clash in their JEE Main and 12th board exam.

Banned items inside JEE Mains 2021 Exam Hall
As we know, lakhs of candidates appear for JEE Main 2021 exam. To avoid any case of frisking and maintain the sanctity of the exam, NTA has issued a list of items that are banned inside the exam hall. Mainly it includes stationery items, electronic gadgets, communication devices, electronic watches with facilities of calculator and eatables and water (loose or packed). Candidates have to make sure that they are not found or carry any of these items to the exam centre.
JEE Main 2021 Day 1 Shift 1 Exam Begin
The first-day first shift of JEE Main 2021 Exam has started from 09:00 AM onwards. After clearing all the formalities of the frisking and others, candidates were allowed to enter the exam centre successfully.
