Why Is JEE Main 2019 Being Held Twice But Not NEET 2019; Aspirants Not Satisfied With NTA’s Decision

Since the breakout of the final NEET 2019 schedule, it is now official that NEET 2019 will be conducted once a year and in pen and paper mode only. On August 23, 2018, the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) hosted the press release of NTA held 5 exams – JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, UGC NET 2019, CMAT and GPAT, which says that NEET will not be conducted twice a year and neither it will be conducted in the Computer-based mode.

This has thrown the NEET 2019 aspirants in quite a dissatisfied zone. They are are demanding reasons on why NEET like JEE Main 2019 is not being conducted twice a year.

Earlier, Ministry of Health has given reasons to MHRD and requested to rill back the decision of NEET 2019 in online mode and twice a year stating several valid reasons. The reasons being, first, if NEET 2019 is held in online mode than the rural candidates will be at a disadvantage. Second, they said twice a year schedule of the exam will add a lot of pressure on NEET 2019 aspirants. Many will appear for their class 12th boards and many will also opt for the JEE Main 2019 exam. This will mean a continuous 4 months of examinations.

However valid the above reasons are, candidates feel this is an unfair move, as this reasons hold true for the JEE main 2019 aspirants too, but JEE Main 2019 is being conducted twice a year. NEET 2019 aspirants feel this to be unfair stating that the situations and reasons stated for NEET 2019 not being held twice a year are valid for JEE Main 2019 aspirants too.

In our earlier reports, many aspirants have commented voicing their dissatisfaction on this move bt the NTA.

The above are few of the many comments that we have received. The decision of conducting NEET 2019 once a year and JEE Main 2019 twice a year is yet not clear. However, candidates are clearly not happy with this move of NTA.

The government surely have some reasons to differentiate NEET 2019 conduct from other 4 exams that NTA will be conducting from 2019 onwards. NEET being the only medical entrance exam has always been surrounded with controversies and has remained the center attraction. Thus, to conduct NEET 2019 with such big changes requires more thought. This might be one of the reasons to conduct NEET as it was being conducted with no changes.

NEET 2019 will now be conducted on May 05, 2019 and the registrations for the same will start from November 01, 2018. JEE Main 2019, on the other hand, will be conducted first on January 06-20, 2019 and then on April 06-20, 2019 in 8 sittings. The registrations of JEE Main 1 2019 exam will start from September 01, 2018 and the JEE Main 2 2019 registrations are scheduled on February 08, 2019.

Do let us know what are your opinions on NEET not being conducted twice a year like JEE Main in 2019. Comment below!

First of all From this year they have made NEET Mandatory for abroad also and they are not conducting the exam twice a year also…They Are playing with students life and future…..MCI and NTA are disturbing students mind..When students were ready to give exam once a year then why suddenly they said NEET To be held twice and after few days again they says neet once a year…Wtf is wrong with our government….Now we want NEET twice a year..

At this point if conducting NEET twice a year become hectic to a bipc intermediate student. Then definetly conducting JEE twice a year is also a bad idea for mpc intermediate students. This will either good for both or bad for both. But the decision took by centre is so meaningless speaking about the exams separately NEET have the most need to be conducted twice a year to benefit many students who dropped.JEE is a two phase exam which is troublesome to conduct it in 4 phases. when a student is ready to take 4 exams how come it will be problematic to take 2 exams in a year by the same student very senseless decision. This really needs a rethinking process

It is really a stupid decision..i mean we all know huge amt of jobless engineers are there in our country and still taking that exam twice instead of giving chance to the medical students..when it comes to medical sector then our govt says about shortage of doctors in country then why not giving equal chance to them too…I think theHRD minister must think again😢

This is very fair decision owing to the fact that we will always take 1st attempt for granted thinking that 2nd one is still left & will excel this time but this is consummate false notion.they will always end up getting their fervour divided which will land them up nowhere….so it’s well thought….

wow claps claps the government deserves a clap jee students are not rural right and jee students wont feel pressure but neet students feels pressure wow what a superb explanation neet exams cant handle changes but jee can from which angle does this make sense do you people in the hrd ministry think medical aspirants are fools to accept your illogical explanations

It is nothing but discrimination against NEET aspirants by MHRD and Health Ministry. Their argument of Stress on students and problem for Rural students is applicable for JEE (Main) Aspirants also. NEET aspirants should also be given two chances.
All are 11th /12th standard students or Repeaters. So all of them should be given equal opportunities irrespective of the stream i.e Engineering or Medical career opted.

Yes need to think by government again and help aspiring students, Neet should be conducted twice a year just like jee mains. This shows that government of India is not strong in making decisions that they do not consider the welfare of students and leave them disturbed mode and in confusion. India need good doctors… most of the seats are payment hardly non payment and very touff to get good score inspite of rigors study. Some educated team including CBSE, NTA need to take decision not just government who has all uneducated decision makers. Please try to help aspiring and intelligent students. Save patients with good doctors not to play with life of students and half knowledge doctors. @ parent of intelligent aspiring student.
