In the recently released notification, Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has confirmed that the counselling of NEET SS 2018, to fill the vacant seats, will be held by MCC/DGHS. The stray vacancy counselling schedule has been revised and the special round counselling will be conducted from August 28 to 31, 2018.

In this three day counselling, on August 21 the processing of choices for NEET SS stray vacancy counselling will be done. Then, on August 29, 2018, MCC will announce the result. Lastly, from August 29 to 31, the selected candidates will have to report at the allocated college / institute.

MCC has clearly stated that only those candidates can participate in NEET SS 2018 Counselling for stray vacancies, who are already registered. Also, these candidates should not have been allocated seat in the Round 1 or 2 of counselling.

Candidates who cannot participate for the counselling are those who have were allocated a seat earlier or who join the allocated seats. Other than this, if a candidate did not register earlier, they cannot participate now. Candidates who did register for the counselling but do not wish to take part in NEET SS stray vacant seat counselling have to submit their unwillingness letter. It is to be framed in an e-mail and send it to [email protected]

The last date to send it is August 27, 2018, by 5:00 pm. In case candidate does not submit the unwillingness to participate, they will be automatically considered for seat allocation of the vacant seats. In this case security fee forfeiture clause will be implemented. As per it, if the seat will be allocated to such candidate in stray vacancy counselling round and they will fail to report then penalty will be charged in security fees.

This is a very good opportunity for the NEET SS 2018 qualifying candidate who did not get any seat in the round 1 and 2. Eligible candidates are advised to participate in the counselling and try their luck. As per the reports, there are a lot of seats vacant in good institutes. Candidates dreaming of pursuing D.M. / M.Ch. can use this opportunity to make their dreams come true. Good luck to you all!.

Politics of Health deptt and monopoly of MCC. NO other issue. Realy we are happy when know that NEET is twice in a year.

It does not make any sense in not conducting NEET twice by way of CBT. If a small town student can be made to appear in JEE Mains through CBT ,the same can be made applicable to a NEET aspirant as well.

In a month’s time HRD minister changed his stance that NEET will be held only once but JEE twice. Cabinet Minister give statement in press confrece just to grab attention and raise expectations. Now Neet students have been left in a lurch. What a joke by HRD minister.

We felt happy that NEET would be conducted twice a year. But again a big let down. When JEE can be conducted for students hailing from remote areas why can’t NEET be conducted.I sincerely hope that govt can reconsider it’s decision and conduct NEET twice a year
