IIT Kanpur has announced the JAM 2020 Exam dates, registration dates, and the result declaration date. The dates have been notified via the JAM 2020 advertisement.
The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc 2020 will be held on February 09, 2020. The registration for the same commences from September 05, 2019. IIT Kanpur will be accepting the application form from the eligible candidates until October 08, 2019. After the exam, the result will be out on March 20, 2020.
In the year 2020, IIT Kanpur is responsible for the conduction of JAM. The website where all the information regarding JAM 2020 will be available is jam.iitk.ac.in. The candidates have to register over this website to apply for JAM 2020.
The application fee for JAM 2020 is Rs.750/- for one test papers and Rs. 1050/- for 2 test papers for the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PwD/ Female (all categories). For the candidates of all other categories, the application fee is Rs. 1500/- for one paper and Rs. 2100/- for 2 papers.
JAM 2020 will be held for the subjects papers of Biotechnology (BT), Physics (PH), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), Chemistry (CY) and Geology (GG).
The exam will be held in 2 shifts, Session I –9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In this session, the candidates who are appearing for the Biotechnology (BT), Physics (PH), Mathematical Statistics (MS) are called. For session 2 which is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, the subjects papers of Mathematics (MA), Chemistry (CY) and Geology (GG) are scheduled.
JAM 2020 will be held in the CBT mode. There will be 20 objective type questions. The total marks of the exam are 100 which the candidates have to attempt in 3 hours.
Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is 2020 conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and IISc annually. JAM 2020 qualified candidates will get admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programmes offered by IITs, IISc, NIIT, etc.

To be eligible to appear in JAM 2020 the candidates must ensure that they have minimum aggregate marks of 55% in their bachelor’s degree. The SC/ ST and PWD category candidates need 50% marks in aggregate. There is specific subject wise eligibility too which the candidates must check before they apply for JAM 2020.
