IIT D Updates GATE 2020 Syllabus; Biomedical Engineering (BM) Syllabus Available

IIT Delhi updates the GATE 2020 website on July 09, 2019. With it, it has also had also released all the dates of GATE 2020. Today, on July 11, 2019, IIT D have uploaded the syllabus of GATE 2020. The newest addition to the list of the subject papers this year is Biomedical Engineering with the code BM.

The syllabus of Biomedical Engineering and all the other 24 subject papers are now available at gate.iitd.ac.in. With this in GATE 2020, the candidates will have the option to appear in any one of the 25 subject papers as per their choice and eligibility.

Coming to the BM syllabus of GATE 2020, there are 10 sections in the syllabus. These sections are – Section 1: Engineering Mathematics, Section 2: Electrical Circuits, Section 3: Signals and Systems, Section 4: Analog and Digital Electronics, Section 4: Analog and Digital Electronics, Section 5: Measurements and Control Systems, Section 6: Sensors and Bioinstrumentation, Section 7: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Section 8: Biomechanics, Section 9: Medical Imaging Systems and Section 10: Biomaterials.

The other subject papers in GATE 2020 for which the candidates can now download the PDF file of the syllabus are – CY, ME, MN, TF, CS, CH, AE, AG, AR, BT, EY, IN, MA, MT, PE, PH, PI, ST, EC, EE, CE, GG, XE, and XL.

Last year in GATE, Statistics (ST) was added to the list of already existing 23 papers. The exam will be of 3 hours and in that duration, the candidates will have to attempt 65 questions. Out of these, 10 questions will be from GA and rest from the subject paper. The questions will be of multiple choice questions and numerical answer type and these will be of 1 or 2 marks. There will be negative marking for MCQs but no marks are deducted for incorrect NAT questions.

GATE 2020 is scheduled to be held on February 01, 02, 08, 09, 2020. The exam will be held in 2 sessions each day. The timing for these sessions are 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm

The paper will be held in the online mode. Registration for GATE 2020 starts on September 03, 2019 in the online mode only. The application fee to apply for GATE 2020 is Rs. 1500/- for the General / OBC candidates and Rs. 750/- for the SC/ST/PwD/Transgender/ Female candidates.
