RRB JE Negative Marking 2019 and How to Calculate Score Using Answer Key

RRB JE Negative \Marking

RRB JE Answer Key 2019 has been released by the Railway Recruitment Board, along with the question paper and responses. The candidates can now use it all to cross check their answers and predict marks in the exam. However, in order to do so, the candidates need to know the marking scheme, including RRB JE Negative Marking.

The marking scheme of RRB JE CBT 1 is very clear and simple. For each correct answer, candidate gets 1 marks and for each incorrect answer, negative marking of 1/3 marks is done. No marks is added or deducted for unattended or missed questions. Candidates gets marks out of 100, as there were 100 questions in the exam.

To predict score from the answer key of RRB JE 2019, candidate need to access the official website of RRB and look for CEN 03/2018 Question Paper and Answer Key link. The link leads to a new portal, where candidates need to enter registration number and date of birth to open it.

From the dashboard, the candidates can download the answer key, which includes questions, question id, answer, answer id, answer selected by the candidate with the id. The candidates need to see if the answer marked by then has a green tick it front of it or not. If there is a green tick then add 1 mark but if there is a red cross then deduct 1/3 marks. Repeat this process for all the questions and you will know your predicted score.

Candidates who find any question or answer incorrect can submit objections against the answer key or question of RRB JE 2019. The facility to submit objections is provided online and candidates need to access the login to check it. In the dashboard, candidates need to choose the tab the “Raise Objection” button. On clicking the link, the objection page will open and from here the candidates need to choose the type of objection. Next step is to submit the question id / answer id and other details.

The candidates also need to pay objection fee, which is Rs. 50. The fee mount has to be paid for each objection. The candidates can submit the amount online, via net banking or debit / credit card.

It should be noted that the marks calculated through the RRB JE answer key are predicted scores and the actual marks of RRB are only announced by Railway Recruitment Board. It is expected that RRB will announce the marks in few days. Along with the raw score, the pro-rata marks, normalized marks, and more details will also be mentioned in the result of RRB JE 2019.
