Indian Oil Corporation Limited is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission in B. Sc Nursing and GNM. Once the course is completed, candidates will be recruited at Assam Oil Division Hospital or in any of the other hospital of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. IOCL has announced the admission and recruitment of Nursing and GNM only for unmarried female candidates. Out of the total advertised vacancies, 30 are available for B.Sc Nursing course and the remaining 30 is advertised for the General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM) course. Aspirants can check the detailed division of advertised vacancies from the notification.
The selection of candidates for the vacant posts is done on the basis of written test and document verification. Aspirants have to secure minimum 40% marks (35% marks for candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories) in the written examination to get selected. Thereafter, IOCL organizes document verification round. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for December 16, 2020. The exact date and venue for both the written exam and DV round shall be intimated later on.
Once candidates successfully complete their course, they are appointed as working interns at AOD Hospital. Their internship is organized for a period of 02 years which may get extended up to 02 years. During their work period, candidates get a monthly stipend as well. Those who are recruited in the Nursing department gets Rs. 2800/- for the first year, Rs. 3,000/ for the second year, Rs. 3,200/- for the third year and Rs. 3,400/- for the fourth year. Aspirants recruited as GNM gets Rs. 2500/- for the first year, Rs. 2700/ for the second year and Rs. 2900/- for the third year.
To apply for the advertised course, aspirants have to fulfil the required minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed 12th standard with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English can apply for B.Sc (Nursing) course. They must have secure aggregate scores of 50% in their 12th class. To apply for GNM course, candidates must have pass 12th class with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English. Those who have passed 12th standard with Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English or Health care Science- Vocational stream ONLY are also eligible. Aspirants age should not be less than 17 years and more than 24 years while applying.
