Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), Jaduguda is inviting application for engagement of Ex-ITI candidates for apprenticeship training in 2020. The Corporation has published a detailed advertisement (Advt. No. 03/2020) in this regard at ucil.gov.in. 244 vacancies are available for various ITI trades. Eligible and intending candidates can apply on the prescribed proforma and send their applications to the General Manager so as to reach on or before December 2020. Selection of applicants is to be done purely on a merit basis.
As per the detailed advertisement, UCIL is conducting the engagement of Ex-ITI candidates from a NCVT recognized institute under provisions of the Apprentices Act – 19621 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992. There are vacancies for the trades of Fitter(80), Electrician(80), Welder(40), Turner/Machinist(15), Instrument Mechanic(10), Mech. Diesel/Mech. MV(10), Carpenter(05) and Plumber(04).
Candidates are advised to read the advertisement carefully by clicking on the direct download link above and ensure that they fulfil all the specified eligibility conditions before applying. Those who are have aleady completed Apprentices training under the aforementioned provisions or are currently undergoing such training are not eligible to apply.
In term of educational qualification, candidates must have passed at least Class 10 with 50% marks in aggregate in order to apply for this recruitment. However, for SC/ST candidates, the minimum qualifying marks in the Class 10 exam is 45%. In addition, all applicants must have passed ITI examination in a relevant trade by securing at least 60% marks. The minimum and maximum age of the applicants as on 20.11.2020 are 18 and 25 years respectively.
Selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of merit only. As such, UCIL will evaluate the marks secured by the applicants in Class 10th exam and ITI exam for shortlisting and preparation of merit lists. Although engaged candidates will be paid a monthly stipend as per provisions of Rule 11 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, UCIL will not provide any accommodation facility. As such, candidates have to make arrangements for accommodation during the training period. It must be noted that candidates cannot claim for employment in UCIL after the completion of training.
Applications for UCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2020 must be filled up as per the proforma prescribed in the detailed advertisement. Candidates have to fill up the applicant by writing the correct details and affixing a recent passport-sized coloured photograph on their applications. Candidates must also sign the application and attach the photocopies of specified documents along with the Application form.
