Indian Oil Corporation Limited is looking for eligible candidates for the 482 vacant posts of Apprentice in the Pipeline Division. Candidates who have passed 12th class can submit their online applications from November 04, 2020, onwards. The last date to apply online is November 22, 2020. The Apprenticeship is available under the department of Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunication & Instrumentation, Human Resource, DEO, Domestic DEO, Accounts and Finance. These vacancies of Apprentice is available in various states across the country. Around 136 vacancies are announced for Western Region, 129 vacancies for Eastern region, 60 vacancies for South Eastern Region, 116 vacancies for Northern Region and 41 vacancies for Southern Region Pipelines.
Eligible candidates are shortlisted for these vacancies based on the written exam. This written test is conducted with Multiple Choice Questions consisting of 04 options with only one correct answer. There shall be 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. It is conducted for 120 minutes. The exam pattern and syllabus for IOCL recruitment are available in the notification itself. Candidates have to secure minimum 40% marks (35% marks for SC/ST/PwBD). The written examination is tentatively scheduled to take place on December 06, 2020.
To apply for Mechanical post, candidates must possess full-time Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile engineering. Those who wish to submit their applications for Electrical must have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Candidates with a full-time bachelors degree can apply for Accountant post. Those who have 03 years diploma in relevant engineering department can apply for Telecommunication & Instrumentation. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required for the Assistant Human Resource post. Candidates who have passed 12th class are eligible for DEO and domestic DEO posts.
While applying, candidate’s have to ensure that their age is within the specified age limit. As per the notification, the candidate’s age should be less than 18 years or more than 24 years. The age of the candidate is calculated as on October 30, 2020.
Before applying, candidates have to register by visiting the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) website. For the Trade Apprentice (Optional Trade), aspirants can apply through apprenticeshipindia.org. The registration number that is generated here should be used while applying for IOCL recruitment. Eligible candidates can submit their applications by visiting plis.indianoilpipelines.in. Candidates should keep the photograph, signature, active email id and mobile number handy before applying for IOCL recruitment. It is important to note that a candidate can apply for only one trade.
