Indian Navy is inviting online applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 210 vacancies for the posts of SSC Officer. The vacancies are available in Executive, Technical and Education Branch. The Navy has published a detailed recruitment notification in this context at the official website i.e. joinindiannavy.gov.in. Online applications along with attachment of scanned supporting documents is invited from eligible candidates till December 31, 2020 at the official website only. Eligible applicants are to be shortlisted for appearing in the SSB interview stage. Selection is to be done on the basis of the SSB interview and candidates are to be deployed in the branch preferred by them during the online application process.
As per the detailed notification, there are 40 openings for the post of SSC General Service/Hydro Cadre and 16 for the post of SSC Naval Armament (Inspectorate Cadre). 06 vacancies are available for SSC Observer, 15 for SSC Pilot, 20 for SSC Logistics, and 25 for SSC X (IT) in the Executive Cadre. In the Technical Cadre, there are 30 openings available for the post of SSC Engineering Branch and 40 for SSC Electrical Branch. Similarly, a total of 18 vacancies are available in the SSC Education post under the Education Branch. INDIAN NAVY SSC OFFICER RECRUITMENT 2020 DETAILED ADVERTISEMENT
Indian Navy has specified the minimum and maximum age limitations for candidates intending to apply for recruitment to the advertised posts. In addition, the Navy has also specified certain minimum educational qualifications to be fulfilled by the applicants to apply against each post. For instance, a B.E./B.Tech qualification in a relevant discipline along with 60% or more marks is necessary to apply for the posts advertised in the Executive Branch and Technical Branch. Similarly, candidates intending to apply for recruitment to the posts advertised in the Education Branch must have a M.Sc./B.Sc./M.A. qualification in a relevant field with minimum percentage of marks in order to apply. It is advised that candidates refer to the detailed advertisement carefully and read the complete eligibility criteria specified against each post before applying for this recruitment.
The selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of SSB interview. The Navy has clearly indicated in the notification that owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, that no INET (O) entrance examination for recruitment to the AT-21 course commencing June 2021 is to be held. Instead, eligible applicants are to be shortlisted on the basis of preference of entry and marks in the qualifying examination. Around 8300 candidates are to be shortlisted for the SSB interview. Candidates must also pass the Medical test to be held by the Navy. The final merit lists are to be drawn on the basis of performance in the SSB interview and passing through the Medical Test.
