Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Ministry of Defense, has released the Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2022 recruitment notification, on the official website joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. This is one of the three career opportunities offered by ICG on a yearly basis. Applications for this opportunity are invited from January 04 to 14, 2022, up to 5:00 pm. The application form will be released on the official portal at 11:00 am itself. Interested candidates are expected to complete the online application formalities, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
The exact Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2022 exam date is yet to be announced. However, candidates can expect Stage I or written examination to be held in the month of March 2022. With around 3-4 months of preparation time, candidates must possess a clear understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2022 Exam Pattern
The Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2022 written exam will be held in the form of four sections – Section I, Section III, Section IV, and Section V. So, depending on the branch of Yantrik, a candidate needs to appear for the following sections –
- Yantrik (Electrical) – Sections I and III
- Yantrik (Electronics) – Sections I and IV
- Yantrik (Mechanical) – Sections I and V

The notification has also elaborately listed all the eligibility and age requirements for applying against Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics) posts. Furthermore, the notification states that upon qualification, candidates will be given a basic pay of Rs. 29200 as per Pay Level 5. In addition, a Yantrik pay of Rs. 6200, plus DA and other allowances based on nature of duty and place of posting shall be provided.
