The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will conduct the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) tomorrow, on February 13, 2022. The admit card for the examination was released on January 16, 2022, on the official website of IIT. The exam is conducted every year to select candidates for the various postgraduate courses offered at different IITs and the integrated Ph.D. courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. The results of the examination are expected to be released on March 22, 2022.
Exam Timing
The exam will be held across various centers under eight IIT zones in the country on February 13, 2022. The exam will be conducted through a computer-based mode in two sessions of the duration of 3 hours. The first session will be held from 9 am to 12 pm (Biotechnology, Physics, Mathematical Statistics) and the second session will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm (Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics).

The exam is conducted for 7 subjects such as Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology, Economics, Chemistry, and Physics.

There will be the proposition of negative marking for each wrong answer in Section A whereas there will be no negative marking in other sections.
Documents Required
The admit card is the most important document that should be carried without fail on the day of the examination. Candidates should also bring any valid ID proof such as Aadhar card, Voter Id, Passport, Driving License, PAN card, etc along with the hall ticket.
IIT Roorkee has also issued a travel pass to ensure the smooth travel of the candidates on the day of the exam. Candidates will be provided with scribble pads for rough work by the examiners. Any other electronic devices or books are not allowed in the exam hall.
Dress Code and Guidelines
As of now, specific dress code details have been mentioned in the official admit card of JAM 2022, it is believed that different centers might follow different dress codes on the day of the exam. But candidates should not wear full-sleeved dresses, caps, shoes or any metallic jewelry to avoid cases of malpractices.
However, wearing a mask is mandatory for all candidates appearing in the examination. Candidates reaching late at the exam center will not be allowed entry, so reaching early at the center is very important. Candidates can only use the virtual calculator provided by the authorities and not any other devices. It should be noted that no food items will be allowed inside the exam hall.
