The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur has concluded the second shift of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 exam today, i.e. February 12, 2022. One of the papers scheduled for this shift is Engineering Sciences (XE). This examination was held in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. GATE 2022 XE exam was held in the computer-based test or CBT mode. With this, only one more day is left for the exam and it will be held tomorrow, i.e. February 13, 2022.
In the XE question paper, there were objective-type questions. However, soon after the culmination of the exam, candidates seem to be in search of the answer keys and question paper analysis. To know more details regarding the answer keys, read till the end.
GATE 2022 XE – Answer Keys
Please note that the official answer keys are not yet out. As per the official website – gate.iitkgp.ac.in, the candidate’s response sheet will be out on February 15, 2022 while the answer keys are going to be published on February 21, 2022. In the meantime, the examinees have to make use of the unofficial answer keys that are released by the coaching centres and subject experts.

The above-mentioned list contains some of the channels that are expected to release the answer keys for the Engineering Sciences paper. There are more channels that the candidates can refer to. So, it is advised to go through as many answer keys as possible for utmost accuracy.
Exam Pattern
The Engineering Sciences (XE) paper has 65 questions, out of which 10 are from General Aptitude (GA) and 55 from the subject itself. Moreover, the marks distribution in the paper is such that GA covers 15 marks while the remaining 85 marks are covered by Section A and any two sections as per requirement. The total marks of the question paper are 100. However, there will be negative markings in the PI exam. For every 01 mark MCQ, 1/3 marks will be deducted and for every 02 mark MCQ, 2/3 marks from the question will be deducted.
