The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) will be closing the online registration and application process for the PGEE and LEEE programmes today, i.e. April 03, 2022. Candidates who are yet to apply must do so at the earliest via the official website – iiit.ac.in. It must be noted that the deadline for completing the registration process is 5 PM. The examinations for both PGEE and LEEE will be held on April 16, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The PG Entrance Exam (PGEE) is conducted for admission to courses like Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Applicants have to appear for a computer-based examination that will be held across multiple cities. The application fee is Rs 2500 for this course.
- Admission to the M.Tech programme is based on the written exam which comprises General Aptitude and subject tests.
- For MS and Ph.D programmes, the candidates will be shortlisted for subject interview as per the performance in the General Aptitude Test.
- Admission to the Ph.D in Human Sciences programme need not take the General Aptitude Test. They will be shortlisted for interview based on their CV and research statement.

The Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE) is held for dual degree programmes. After graduation, the candidate earns two degrees namely B.Tech and MS. It must be noted that the total duration of the programme is 04 years. Since the course is divided into two programmes, applicants for the CSD programme should appear for the Computer Science and Engineering exam while those aiming for the ECD programme must take the Electronics and Communication Engineering exam.
Candidates who will be shortlisted for this exam have to appear for an interview, clearing which they will be granted admission. The date for the interview will be informed in due time. The application fee is Rs 2500. Applicants will first need to register for the exam and then fill out the application form.

The official website iit.ac.in also has detailed syllabi for both PGEE and LEEE. After going through the syllabus, candidates can ace up their preparation accordingly. After selection, candidates have to confirm their seats by paying the tuition fee for one semester. This payment needs to be made in online mode. Before submitting the application forms, it is necessary to ensure that one fulfils the eligibility criteria for both PGEE and LEEE 2022.
