The Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) has successfully conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to classes 6 and 9. Students had to appear for the examination for a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The exam commenced at 9 AM and continued till 11:30 AM. The examinees had to report to their examination centers at 7:30 AM. This was essential for document verification.
Soon after the conclusion of the Exam, students seem to be in search of the answer keys. Although the official answer keys have not been released, they can still go through the unofficial ones that are released by educators and coaching centres. RMS CET Question Paper Breakdown
RMS CET 2022 exam was held for two classes 6 and 7. The question paper for class 6 comprised 200 questions in General Knowledge, Intelligence Test and Mathematics. Examinees were required to mark the correct answers using a pencil. For class 9, the test comprised three papers that also accounted for 200 questions. The first paper or Paper I was English while Paper II comprised questions from Hindi and Social Science. Similarly, Paper III had 100 questions from Mathematics and Science.
Reservation Criteria
Although the students will be selected based on their performance in the written examination, there will also be reservations for certain categories. The reservation criteria have been given below:
- 70% of the seats are reserved for the wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF, including Ex-serviceman.
- 30% of the seats are for wards of officers of Army, Navy and AF, including retired officers and the wards of civilians.
- 50% of the seats have been reserved for the wards of service personnel killed in action.
It must be noted that 15% and 7.5% of the seats are kept reserved for SC and ST categories for all the above three reservation policies. Guardians can check the revised fee structure from the official RMS website – rashtriyamilitaryschools.edu.in. A total of 5 RMS schools function across India.
