Surprise for MBA aspirants!
IIFT MBA Admission Test 2020 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency. Until last year, the institute itself organized the exam. Via a press release today, NTA has released the exam date and all other important dates of the IIFT MBA entrance exam.
However the biggest revelation is not the change of exam conducting body, but the fact that it will now be held in computer based test mode. IIFT used to hold the entrance exam in pen and paper mode until last session. The exam will be held on December 1, 2019, and hence a little over three months remain for aspirants to change their preparation strategy for the new format.
NTA has announced that the registration for IIFT MBA admission test 2020 will begin on September 9, 2019, and end on October 25, 2019. Admit card for registered candidates will be issued on November 11, 2019. The exam, like last time, will be held on the first Sunday in the month of December. After that result will be announced very soon after exam, on December 11, 2019.
It is for the first time that National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) examination for MBA program. Until last year the exam was held in pen and paper mode, now it will be a complete computer-based test. As per the schedule detailed notification published by NTA, IIFT exam will be held from December 01, 2019.
The official website of NTA is nta.ac.in. Up until now, the notifications for IIFT MBA Entrance Exam used to come at iift.ac.in. However now, a new website is expected to be launched on NIC domain.
Besides IIFT entrance exam, NTA is also conducting two other MBA entrance exams. One is CMAT or the Common Management Admission Test. The other is IGNOU OPENMAT. CMAT, or Common Management Admission Test will be held on January 24, 2020. IGNOU MBA entrance test will be held on April 29, 2020. All the three MBA entrance exams by NTA will be in computer based exam format.
Test Practice Centres have been established across the country to enable candidates to get a first hand experience of the computer based test, before sitting in the actual test. Starting from September 1, 2019, the facility to avail CBTs at TPCs shall be available at 4,000 schools and engineering colleges on Saturdays and Sundays. Since IIFT entrance test will be online for the first time, candidates may utilize the facility to get familiar with the CBT format.
