Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the exam date for IGNOU OPENMAT VLIV 2019 Exam. The test will take place on December 16, 2018. Finally, after months delay, IGNOU has released examination schedule for admission to MBA distance learning programme.
The IGNOU Entrance Exam for MBA is paper-based test having 200 questions overall. All the questions are Multiple Choice Based with four options each. The paper is divided into four sections comprising General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning with 30, 50, 50, 70 questions respectively.
IGNOU is also one of the exams which do not have negative marking. Thus, candidates interested in MBA from the university must register for the exam to take admission in the academic year 2019.
WHAT is New in OPENMAT Registration This Year?
First and not to be overlooked is that the IGNOU OPENMAT Registration has started pretty late as compared to last year admission schedule. Even the registration form window has opened for only one month.
Usually, IGNOU gives enough time for atleast two months to apply for the admissions. For OPENMAT 2019, the last date to apply is November 15, 2019, making only 25 days to fill the form.

Second, is the application procedure. Until last year, IGNOU used to release application forms in offline and online mode. Though this year, the university has released the forms in online mode only.
Thus, candidates need to fill entrance forms online on http://www.ignou.ac.in. Importantly, this year candidates even do not have to send the hard copy of the forms to the university address. All the application procedure has to be done in online mode.
Third, this year, the application fee for OPENMAT 2019 has also been reduced. Though by a small margin only. Last year the application fee was Rs 1050/- and for 2019 admissions the fee is Rs 1000/- for all the candidates. Candidates can pay the fee via Credit Card (Master/Visa), Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay), and Net Banking.
Fourth, in the OPENMAT 2018, the form was quite precise and could be filled in a single go. Whereas the OPENMAT 2019 form is quite comprehensive and included 8 Steps after the successful registration.
Candidates can register with valid email id, active mobile number, and unique username. Once all the required details are entered, applicants will receive the login credentials on the registered email id.
Following that candidates can move forward to fill the application form. After each step it is necessary to save the details before moving forward for the next step. Applicants can fill the form in multiple sessions, saved details will remain in the portal until the student access the same next time.
Last, but not least, is the application form correction. Candidates after signing the declaration will not able to edit any details in the form. Thus, before the final submission, check all the details twice. The form will be submitted to the university after the successful submission of the fee.
In the form candidates also need to upload some documents in the form ie photograph and signature. So. all the applicants are advised to upload in the specified guidelines only. Both the documents should be in JPG/JPEG format. The images sizes should be less than 100 KB and 50 KB for photograph and signature respectively.
