National Testing Agency will be conducting all the ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) UG 2020 from September 16 to 22, 2020. The exam will be held online, in computer-based mode. It will be held at the national level and the candidates can download the admit card from icar.nta.nic.in.
Each day, ICAR AIEEA UG will be held in 1 shift, which will be from 9:30 am to 12.00 noon. Candidates will have to solve 150 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes. All questions in the exam will be bilingual that is Hindi and English. In case of any discrepancy between the English and the Hindi version of a question, the English version would be considered as valid.
The questions will be of multiple choice type. Each question will carry 4 marks making the total marks in the exam to be 600. There will be a deduction of 1 mark against each wrong attempt.
The syllabus of AIEEA UG for the entrance test is 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany), Mathematics, and Agriculture.
The candidates will be given question papers based on their choices given at the time of submitting the application form. As per the choices, candidates will get questions from Physics, Chemistry Biology; or Physics, Chemistry, Maths; or Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture; or Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry.
The ICAR AIEEA UG 2020 entrance exam qualified candidates will become eligible for admission in B.Sc (H) in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, community science, agriculture, and B.Tech in agricultural engineering, dairy technology, food technology, bio-technology, B.F.Sc, food nutrition, and dietetics courses.
On the day of the AIEEA UG 2020 exam, candidates have to carry their admit card and report at the exam center as per the reporting time mentioned on it. At the exam center candidates will have to follow the COVID-19 SOP and guidelines as instructed by the functionaries. Also, candidates have to carry their own personal transparent water bottle and hand sanitiser. Masks and gloves are also a must. At the exam hall before entry candidates will be checked for temperature using thermo gun.
NTA will also hold 2 other entrance exams of ICAR on September 23, 2020. These are AIEEA PG 2020 and AICE JRF / SRF (Ph.D.) 2020. These 2 exams will be also held in computer-based test mode across the nation.
Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country under the aegis of DARE, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. From 2019, it has handed over the responsibility to hold the entrance exams on its behalf to the National Testing Agency (NTA).
