The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) has published a notice to make an important announcement on the ICAI CA May 2021 Examination. Candidates who have opted out from November 2021 Exam and have chosen May 2021 Exam Cycle to appear for the exam have to submit fresh applications for CA May 2021 Session. Online registrations for ICAI CA May 2021 Session will commence from March 31, 2021 onwards. Aspirants are suggested to stay in touch with ICAI official website icai.org to get the latest updates.
ICAI conducts the CA Foundation examination twice every year. The first session is conducted in May whereas the second session is conducted in November. The released notification is for desirous candidates wishing to appear for May 2021 Cycle examination including those who have opted out for November 2020 examination and have chosen to appear for May 2021 exam. It is mandatory for all students to appear for the May 2021 Examination.
The online registrations for Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Final, IRM Technical Examination and INTT – AT will commence from March 31, 2021, onwards. Candidates who wish to appear for the May 2021 Session Examination can submit their ICAI CA 2021 Application Form before April 13, 2021, through icaiexam.icai.org. Applications for the Post Qualification Course Examinations i.e. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT) is scheduled from March 31, 2021, to April 13, 2021.
For successful submission of the application form, candidates also have to submit an application before April 16, 2021. The payment can be done only through online mode via VISA or MASTER or MAESTRO Credit / Debit Card / Rupay Card / Net Banking / Bhim UPI. They have to pay Rs. 600/- as a late fee (US$ 10 (for Overseas centres) in case the fee is paid after the deadline. However, candidates who have already paid the application fee in November 2020 Session are exempted from fee submission. Examination fees for such students are adjusted and only differential fees will be charged.
The examination for ICAI CA Exam May 2021 Session will take place in two groups. Group 1 Exam will take place in May 2021 whereas Group 2 exam is scheduled for May-June 2021. There will no change in the exam dates in the event of any exam schedule declared a Pubic Holiday by the government. Candidates must note that Elective Paper – 6 of Final Examination (under New Scheme) is for 04 hours (03:0 PM to 07:00 PM).
