The Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the exam date for Common Proficiency Test (CPT). The exam will be conducted on December 16, 2018, in two sessions. The CA CPT is only for those students who have registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the Common Proficiency Course and fulfill the requisite eligibility condition.
The exam date and other necessary information about the CA CPT December 2018 have been made available through a notification published at ICAI website.

As per the notification, the online registration for CA CPT Dec 2018 will start from October 04, 2018. Interested candidates need to register for CPT through online mode only at, icaiexam.icai.org. The last date to submit the form is October 25, 2018. Those who wish to apply for the exam should firstly ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria or not.
The candidates should submit the application form before the last date, after which the late fee charges will be implied. Those who will submit the form after the deadline, need to pay a late fine of Rs. 600/-. The last date to submit the application form with late fee charges are November 1, 2018. The students should know that to fill the CA CPT Application Form an amount of Rs.1000 is to be paid for centers in India, Rs. 1700/- for centers in Kathmandu and 300$ for centers in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai & Muscat. The application can be paid online through VISA or Master Credit / Debit Card / Rupay Card or Net Banking.
The examination that is to be held will be in two sessions the first session being from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM, for section A-Fundamental of accounting and section B-Mercantile Laws. The second session will begin from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM for section C-General Economics and section D-Quantitative Aptitude.
The examination will be in pen and paper mode with multiple choice questions in each section. Candidates will be allowed to choose from Hindi or English as the medium of paper they want to answer.
The candidates can apply by for the examination simply by visiting the official website. Click on the apply now link to start filling the form. Important documents such as caste certificates and other mentioned in the brochure are to be uploaded. Enter the information needed such as name, father’s name, contact details, education qualification in the application form. a photograph is also to be uploaded by the candidate. After the successful submission of Application candidates will have o wait for the admit card to be released by the council.
There are almost 60 centers in India and 5 centers abroad where the examination is to be conducted by the council. The center of examination is to be chosen by the candidates as per their wish while filing in the application form.
