Last year, the official notice of recruitment came out on the website in the month of August. Based on such grounds, the official notification for IBPS PO/MT recruitment in 2020 is expected to release in the month of August 2020. The Institute has already announced the tentative exam dates for the 2020 selection tests. Accordingly, the Prelims are scheduled to be held on 3rd, 4th, and 10th October 2020. On the other hand, the Mains exam is also scheduled to be conducted tentatively on November 28, 2020. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website i.e. ibps.in to get notified when the notice is released and the application process is started.

The three-stage selection process consists of a Preliminary exam which is conducted for all eligible applicants. This is followed by the Main exam and the final interview. Only those who qualify in the Prelims are summoned for the Main exam. Subsequently, successful candidates who qualify in the Main exam are called for the interview stage. The test for the Prelims consists of a single paper of 100 marks which must be completed within a period of just one hour. The question paper consists of MCQ type questions only based on the subjects of English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. On the other hand, the exam for the Main stage is held for a period of three and a half hours. The Main exam also consists of negative marking similar to the Prelims. There are four main subjects namely Reasoning, Banking Awareness, English and Data Analysis & Interpretation.
