Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh, has postponed UPSEE 2020. The exam which was to be held on August 2 will be now conducted on September 20, 2020. The announcement of the postponement of the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam 2020 was done via a public notice on upsee.nic.in.
Apart from UPSEE, which is a state-level exam, national level entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET 2020 have been postponed that were to be held in July. Now, these 2 exams will be also held in the month of September. JEE Main will be held from September 1 to 6 and NEET on September 13, 2020. The postponement of various entrance exams is done keeping in mind the safety of the students amidst the rising COVID-19 cases. Therefore the postponement of UPSEE to September can be also based on the same grounds.
UPSEE is being delayed for the second time now. Initially, UPSEE 2020 was to be held on May 10, 2020. This got delayed to August 2, 2020. Now, the delay has been further extended to September 20, 2020.

AKTU holds the exam at the state level, for admission of candidates in 1st year B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, B.Voc, MBA, MBA (Integrated), MCA, MCA (Integrated), M.Tech (Integrated), M.Tech, M.Arch, MURP, M.Pharm, and M.Des courses. Admission in 2nd year of B.Tech, B.Pharm, and MCA courses is also done based on UPSEE.
The entrance exam is conducted at the state level and there are 8 papers for admission in different courses. All the 8 papers will be held in computer-based test mode. All the question papers will have objective type multiple-choice questions. The exam will be conducted in the exam centers of UP state as well as in centers outside the state.
There are around 21 government and 735 private colleges that are affiliated to AKTU and where admission is based on UPSEE scores. Apart from colleges affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), few other colleges in UP also consider the score of UPSEE 2020.
The application forms to apply for UPSEE 2020 was available until May 31, 2020. Registered candidates will be able to download the admit card for the exam, dates for which have yet not been declared by AKTU.
