The students who have given the UPSC IAS 2018 Prelims exam will finally get to know their results today. As per the news reports, Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is expected to declare the IAS 2018 Result on July 10, 2018. The result will be declared online, on the official website of UPSC, i.e. upsc.gov.in.
Around 3 lakh candidates had appeared for the most coveted and the competitive examination on June 03, 2018. The result will segregate candidates for the Main examination.
The Commission will announce the result through a pdf. To check IAS Result 2018, the aspirants will have to first visit the official website and search the link for the result pdf. Then, the candidates will have to search their roll number in the pdf. If there roll number is mentioned on the pdf, then the candidates will be issue IAS Main Admit Card in August 2018.
The UPSC had conducted the IAS 2018 Prelims Exam on June 03, 2018. The complete paper was conducted in two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is compulsory for the students to attempt both the parts. To be eligible for the Mains, the candidate has to score the minimum marks in the examination as specified by the conducting body.
The students who have appeared in the IAS 2018 Prelims EXam have to score 33 per cent marks in paper 2 to be eligible for the Main exam. The students who clear the prelims i.e. score the minimum or more than the minimum marks will be eligible for the Main exam.
The Main exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of September. The students who clear the prelims will have to appear for the Main exam. In Main, the student has to attempt a total of 9 papers which are all theoretical. The Main exam is followed by the interview process. Only those students are eligible to appear for the interview who clear the Main rounds.
UPSC IAS is exam is conducted for recruitment to the various administrative positions such as Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and various other administrative services. The services are allotted to the successful candidates on the basis of the ranks obtained by them in the merit list.
