Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) announced the result of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2017 today, on March 1, 2018. Candidates can now check result of HTET 2018 by name as well as roll number.

The teacher eligibility test was held on December 23 for level I, and on December 24 for level II and III. Level I is for PGT lecturer, whereas level II and III are for TGT teachers (class sixth to eighth) and PRT (class first to fifth) respectively.

Components of result: HTET Result shows marks obtained in exam as well as whether one has qualified or not.

Cut Off: Candidates of Haryana need 60% or 90marks out of 150 to qualify. Candidates of Haryana who belong to SC or PH category need 55% or 82 marks out of 150 in order to qualify. All candidates from other states need 60% or 90 marks for qualifying.

How to check result: The official website of HBSE is www.bseh.org.in. Candidates need to visit the official website and enter web page. On the landing page itself, HTET Exam Result Dec-2017 button is displayed. Upon clicking the button, one lands at page to check Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test December 2017 Result. Here, either roll number or name can be entered to check result.

Check result by roll number: Enter exact roll number in the field. It directly candidate to his/her result page containing details and marks. The page can be printed.

Check result by name: Enter name and click on find results. Now since there can be several candidates by the same name, instead of directly taking to results page, it takes candidate to a page containing details of all candidates by same name. This page contains a table with name, roll number and father’s name. Candidate can now check which one matches his/her entry and click on Get link against that entry. Now it takes the candidate to his/her result page.

It may be noted that some results have been withheld due to Aadhaar verification. HBSE had given an opportunity recently for those whose aadhaar was not verified to get it done. Those who did not avail that option even then, their results are not announced.

Only those who qualify the TET will be later eligible to apply for teaching jobs in the state. as per government norms, qualifying TET is mandatory to become a teacher.

“One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which is conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by NCTE.”

Those who have qualified can apply for various teaching jobs or exams conducted by the state government. Contractual jobs or other such jobs for the teaching posts can also be explored. Teaching is a noble profession, and the future of the world needs good teachers to guide them. Thus it is a position of utmost responsibility and demands dedication.

In Haryana, the teacher eligibility test is held on a yearly basis. HTET 2017 has been held on December 23 and 24 and with its results being announced, is now concluded. Those who could not qualify this time should not be disappointed. They should now steel themselves to prepare even harder and get through next time.

Also, candidates may note that the CTET 2018 notification, application form, and exam date is releasing soon. If that comes before next HTET, then one should also appear in it.
