Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released a public notice announcing the cancellation of three recruitment exams – Patwari, Canal Patwari, and Gram Sachiv. These exams were scheduled for January 07, 08, and 09, 2022. This news of cancellation just comes 2-3 days after the supposed release of HSSC Admit Card 2021. Although this decision was taken abruptly, no substantial reasons were cited behind the cancellation.
The only justification stated was, “….is hereby, canceled on administrative grounds.”
This week, HSSC was scheduled to conduct the written exam for three important recruitment drives – 1. Patwari against Advt. No.07/2019, 2. Canal Patwari against Advt. No. 08/2019and 3. Gram Sachiv, against Advt. No. 9/2019. All three notifications were released in 2019 but, their exams were set to be conducted in the first week of January 2022.
For all three exams, HSSC was scheduled to release the admit cards on January 01, 2022. All registered candidates could download their admit cards from the official portal hssc.gov.in. However, just 2 days later, the commission announced the cancellation of all three exams, taking all candidates by surprise.
The HSSC Patwari, Gram Sachiv, and Canal Patwari 2022 exams have gone through a tumultuous ride since the beginning. In fact, the recruitment exam was scheduled to be held in December 2021. However, due to a clash with the CBSE Class 10 and 12 2021-22 Term 1 board exams, the exam was postponed to January 2022.
After the cancellation news, however, several news reports are claiming an important possibility. According to reports, the HSSC Patwari, Gram Sachiv and Canal Patwari recruitment drive may take place through the Haryana CET 2022 examination. The exact date for this exam is yet to be announced by the state commission.
The report, however, cannot be entirely discounted. In fact, the Haryana Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022 will be held by HSSC for recruiting eligible and qualified individuals to various central government jobs at the primary level. So, there is a possibility for posts like Patwari, Canal Patwari, and Gram Sachiv to come under the ambit of this eligibility test.
Although this is a possibility, HSSC has not provided any clarity to either accept or reject this possibility. Hence, this is just a conjecture to help candidates see what’s in store for them in the near future. However, candidates are advised to visit the official website hssc.gov.in for any update or development in this regard. The HSSC is likely to provide a future course of action for all three recruitment drives.
