Exam Analysis
There are a total of 100 questions to be answered in 1.5 hours. Questions in Part A were asked from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Methodology of teaching the subject. Part B questions are subject-specific, i.e., based on Natural Science. The correct answers are awarded 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer marked by the candidate.
The cut-off marks for the HSA exam depend on various factors like the difficulty level of the question paper, the number of candidates who attempted the paper, etc. However, by reviewing the previous years’ cut-off marks it can be predicted that candidates who score at least 50 marks are in the safe zone. Further, the cut-off mark for each zone varies. The official date of the exam has not been announced yet, but it is expected that the results will be out in March 2022. Candidates can check their results at keralapsc.gov.in.
The candidates will be recruited based on the HSA score, vacancies, and reservation policies. The pay scale of the recruited candidates, similar to High School Teachers, is around Rs. 29, 200 to Rs. 62,400, as per last year’s data provided on the official site.
