Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has released the HP TET 2021 notification on the official website, hpbose.org. The state level teacher eligibility test will be held on November 13, 14, 21 and 28, 2021.
Teaching aspirants can apply for the TET exam from September 23 to October 13, 2021. Only those candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria as per the notification will be eligible to participate in the HP TET 2021. The candidates can apply for the HP TET application with a late fine of INR 300 from October 14, to October 18, 2021. The board will allow the editing of the application form from October 19, to October 21, 2021.
Admit card for the exam will release at least four days before the examination. On the scheduled dates, the exam will be conducted in two shifts i.e. 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The final result for the HP TET is expected to release in the third week of December 2021.
The minimum eligibility to apply for the post of TGT (regular), TGT (medical & non-medical), language teacher is having a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks along with a B.Ed degree of 1-year duration. While the candidates applying for the JBT post must have passed class 10+2 with at least 50% marks from a recognised board.
The HP TET entrance exam is going to be held in offline or OMR sheet mode. The entrance will be having 150 questions accounting for 150 marks. The TGT test will have five sections, out of which the questions will be based on the child psychology and development, general awareness of HP state, and the remaining questions will be from the opted subjects. The candidates will get 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the test. The minimum qualifying marks for the HP TET exam is 60% of the total marks i.e. 90 marks.
The candidates who successfully qualify for the HP TET 2021 will be awarded the Teacher Eligibility Test from the HPBSE. The validity of the TET certificate is lifetime and it makes the candidates eligible to apply against teacher vacancies released in the state.
The candidates have to first register themselves post which, an online application number will be generated. After, signing in with the application number and date of birth, the candidates can fill in the relevant details. Next, comes the upload section they have to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed size limit of 20kb and 15 kb respectively. In the end, the candidates have to pay the application fee, INR 800 for unreserved and INR 500 for SC/ST candidates via any online payment channel.
