The High Court of Orissa, Cuttack has released the date for the centre-based Main written examination for recruiting to the posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO). As per the official notice, the Main examination will take place on November 21, 2021. This test will be for those candidates who have qualified for the preliminary round. Hence, they should view the list of candidates from the official website – orissahighcourt.nic.in. The preliminary examination took place on October 06, 2021. A total of 202 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment examination.
The admit cards for the upcoming Main examination have to be downloaded from the ‘recruitment corner’ given on the official site, orissahighcourt.nic.in. The link for downloading the same will be available from November 15, 2021 to 9 AM of November 21, 2021. Candidates have to use their application acknowledgment number as the user ID and date of birth as the password to download the High Court ASO 2021 Main examination admit card.
High Court ASO 2021 Main examination will comprise three subjects namely English, Mathematics, General Awareness & Test of Reasoning. However, English will only be a qualifying paper. General category candidates have to obtain 45% marks and SC/ST candidates must obtain 33% marks in this paper. The marks secured by a candidate in this paper will not be taken into account while preparing the final merit list.
English paper will cover topics like essay writing, precis writing, translation, retranslation, and grammar. It will be held for a duration of 2 hours and will be of 100 marks. Similarly, Mathematics will cover arithmetic, algebra, mensuration, statistics and probability. This paper will also be of 100 marks and will be held for 2 hours. Coming to General Awareness & Test of Reasoning, the paper will comprise current affairs, national and international events, budget and five-year plans, etc. The total marks would be 100 and for a duration of 1 hour.
