Candidates shortlisted for Assistant Environmental Engineer receives a monthly salary of Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400, Senior Scientific Assistant gets Rs. 39,900 to Rs.1,26,600/- , Deputy Superintendent gets Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,600/- and Clerk cum Typist receives Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200/-.
To apply for Assistant Environmental Engineer, candidates should possess Bachelors degree in Environment Engineering or Civil Engineering with Environment as an elective subject or Chemical Engineering with the environment as an elective subject. Candidates who have graduation degree in Environmental Science/ Chemistry/ Bio Chemistry/ Microbiology / Aquatic Biology / Marine Biology / Bio Science / Bio-technology are eligible for the post of Senior Scientific Assistant. Those who possess a bachelors degree in Commerce, Arts, Law, Business Administration or Science can apply for Deputy Superintendent. Candidates intending to apply for Clerk cum Typist must possess Bachelors degree in Commerce, Arts, Law, Business Administration or Science. Moreover, candidates must be working with the Government/Semi-Government/Local Bodies to submit forms for any of the following posts.
Besides educational qualification, GEMI has prescribed the age limit for all the announced posts as well. The upper age limit for Assistant Environmental Engineer, Clerk cum Typist and Senior Scientific Assistant is 35 years. For Deputy Superintendent, the maximum age limit of 37 years. Candidates can submit their applications for GEMI recruitment through online procedure by visiting the official website, gemi.gujarat.gov.in. Before applying, candidates are advised to keep a scanned image of the photograph and signature. While submitting the form, general category candidates have to pay Rs. 500/-, Female candidates/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ SEBC candidates have to pay Rs. 250/- as the application fee. The fee can be submitted through challan. It should be deposited to the nearest post office before August 19, 2020.
The selection criteria for the announced posts includes the written examination and interview round. For the Senior Scientific Assistant, Deputy Superintendent and Clerk cum typist, there will be no interview. Candidate can get the syllabus for the examination from gemi.gujarat.gov.in.
