Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun is inviting eligible candidates for the post of Office Assistant and Project Assistant. The detailed notification for both the posts is available on the official website, wii.gov.in. The conducting body has announced 01 vacancies each for Office Assistant and Project Assistant respectively. Eligible candidates will be invited for the walk-in-interview, schedule of the same is not yet declared. As of now, candidates can submit their forms for both the announced posts on or before August 15, 2020.
The post of Project Assistant is announced through a notice with No. WII/GT/Vulture/12/2019. The recruitment to the said post is under “Ecology and Recovery of Critically Endangered Vulture Species in Pong Dam Protected Area (PA) and its adjoining areas in Himachal Pradesh”. Candidates are shortlisted for this post on contractual basis for one year which may get extended up to 02 years. Office Assistant post is announced with an official notice No. WII/GT/MEE-NPs-WLS/01/2020-21. Candidates are recruited on contractual basis for one year under Wildlife Insitute of India. During the contractual period, candidates selected as Project Assistant gets Rs. 22,000/- and Office Assistant receives Rs. 20,000/- plus HRA as monthly salary.
Candidates intending to apply for Office Assistant must have B.Sc degree with first division. They must possess experience in MS office and excellent oral and written communication skills. To apply for Project Assistant, candidates who have B. Sc degree with the first division are eligible. In addition, they should have experience of working with MS office, should also have laboratory experience, field experience and Mist netting. Candidates age must not exceed that of 30 years on the date of interview for Project Assistant and 50 years for Officer Assistant.

Along with the application form, self-attested copies of documents supporting the educational qualification, work experience, category certificate date of birth certificate and extra curriculum certificate, etc should also be submitted.
The applications are screened based on which candidates are shortlisted for the interview. Candidates are invited for the personal interview or online interview accordingly. They have to report by 09:30 AM with their original documents and certificates for verification which is followed by the interview. Other details such as venue, the date will be intimated later on accordingly. After the selection, candidates who are appointed as Office Assistant are posted at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. Those recruited as Project Assistant are posted at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and Himachal Pradesh.
