Directorate of Technical Education, Goa has issued a public notice regarding the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021 application form acceptance. According to the notice, the application forms were scheduled to be accepted from May 17, 2021. However, the acceptance has been postponed to later date by the authorities. The revised schedule and required details shall be provided soon on the official website dte.goa.gov.in. Authorities have released the application form and the GCET 2021 information brochure on the website. They have only postponed the acceptance date without citing any reasons.

According to the existing schedule, GCET 2021 is scheduled on June 15 and 16, 2021. Results for the same are expected to come out by June 22, 2021. However, given the postponement of registration deadline, the exam and result dates may also get postponed. However, no official clarification has been provided about the exam dates.
GCET 2021 Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry tests shall be scheduledin different slots in June 2021. The Physics exam is to be held on June 15, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm while the Chemistry exam is scheduled on the same day from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Finally, the Mathematics exam is scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on June 16, 2021. Candidates who are aspiring undergraduate Pharmacy courses are not required to give the Mathematics test.
The entrance examination shall be conducted through the pen-and-paper format. Each subject paper shall be of 2-hours duration comprising of 75 multiple-choice questions. Each question shall be allotted 1 mark while no marks shall be deducted in case of wrong answers. This year, the GCET 2021 syllabus shall comprise of Class 12 topics in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry chapters.
Candidates willing to pursue engineering and pharmacy undergraduate courses can appear for the GCET 2021 examination. However, aspirants of Medicine, Dentistry, Homeopathy, Nursing, Ayurveda and the remaining five allied health programmes must appear for NEET 2021. They shall acquire admission in Goa institutes and universities based on their NEET score or rank.
Once the acceptance process begins for GCET 2021, application forms must be submitted to the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa and other mentioned locations. Self-attested photocopies of Class 12 marksheet, birth certificate, proof of residence, etc must also be submitted along with the application form.
Aspirants must also paste their passport-size photograph on the application form. Besides the required documents, aspirants are also instructed to pay the application fee. GCET 2021 application fee is Rs.1500 with additional Rs.1500 charges in case of late form submission. Once the form is successfully submitted, candidates shall receive a confirmation message along with their registration number.
