The GATE 2022 Travel Pass has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur for candidates who have applied for the GATE 2022 exams. The GATE 2022 examination will begin on February 5, 2022, and will be held all over the country. The GATE 2022 Travel Pass is also authorized for the JAM 2022 examination, and students can use it for the JAM 2022 exam on February 12, 2022. The GATE 2022 examination will be held over four weekends. In several states, the government has only imposed a lockdown on weekends for the past few weeks. Due to weekend restrictions in some areas, the travel pass has been granted to make it easier for aspirants to get to and from the examination centres. The GATE 2022 Travel Pass is now available on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates can use it to go to the examination centre without any problems. Candidates are required to mandatorily carry their admit cards along with the travel pass to the examination venue.
How to download the GATE travel pass?
For the convenience of travel to and from the exam centre, candidates can download the letter and keep it with their admit card. The steps for downloading the travel pass are as follows:
Step 1: Go to the official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2: On the home page, you will find “Click on” a link that says, “Candidates may use this letter to reach the examination centre if necessary.”
Step 3: The GATE pass will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Take a printout of the pass and save it for future use.

How to use the GATE travel pass
The letter requests that candidates be allowed to take the exam on February 5, 6, 12, and 13. To prevent any restrictions, candidates should print the letter and carry it along with their GATE 2022 admit card. Candidates are also recommended to bring an official ID proof, like an Aadhaar card or a Pan card, in addition to their admit card and travel pass.
