How to Check GATE 2022 Mechanical Engineering (ME-2) Answer Key and Solutions?
The official answer keys will be published by GATE on their website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in on February 21, 2022. However, unofficial sources have also released answer keys for the Mechanical Engineering (ME-2) papers. Videos are available on Youtube for Candidates who wish to check their answers early. Question Paper Pattern
The exam was a computer based test and was conducted for 3 hours. Divided into 2 sections, General Aptitude and the specific subject, the paper consisted of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Types (NAT). A total of 65 questions were given and the paper was on a total of 100 with all the questions being 1 or 2 marks. GATE 2022 did have negative marking for MCQ’s with 1/3 or 2/3 marks being deducted for every wrong answer. MSQ’s and NAT’s did not have negative marking.
GATE 2022 Official Answer Key
Candidates for the GATE 2022 are allowed to contest the answer keys provided by GATE. If a candidate feels there are discrepancies with the official answer key, they must pay a sum of Rs. 500 per question in order to ask challenge the answer key. Post this, IIT Kharagpur will post a final answer key after considering the objections. Applications are open form February 22nd to 25th, 2022.
