The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination for Humanities & Social Sciences has been concluded on February 6, 2022, in the afternoon shift. The candidates who wrote the exam can now determine their scores by using the answer keys released by various institutes on their websites and other platforms like YouTube. These answer keys are unofficial and are expected to be of 100 percent accuracy, thus, candidates can check their scores without any doubt.
To obtain the official GATE Humanities & Social Sciences Answer key, candidates have to wait for some time as IIT KGP, the conducting body for GATE 2022 will release all answer keys by February 26, 2022. IIT KGP will also provide students with the question papers. The question paper and unofficial answer keys will be memory-based as the examination is being conducted via Computer Based Test (CBT) medium. This affects the accuracy to some extent as candidates fail to remember all questions.

Candidates must note that the coaching institute provides the unofficial answer keys in two formats, PDF-based and video-based. The PDF-based answer key can be found on the institute’s website whereas answer key videos have to be extracted from YouTube. While checking the answer key, candidates can follow the below-mentioned checking pattern. Based on this, candidates can compare their marks.
- Total questions: 65
- General Aptitude Marks: 15
- Subject-wise Marks: 85
- There is no negative marking for a wrong answer in numerical answer type questions
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for 1 mark question
- 2/3 Mark will be deducted for 2 mark question
