The correction window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 applications is now open on the official website of IIT Kharagpur at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Applicants who have applied for the GATE 2022 examination can now change different particulars from their application in case of discrepancies till November 12, 2021. Applicants can modify their name, gender, date of birth, class, academic details, address, PwD/dyslexic document, exam paper, and examination city. To apply for corrections, candidates need to log in by entering their credentials like id and password. How to edit applications:
Step 1. Visit the official website of IIT Kharagpur at gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2. On the landing page, click on the GATE 2022 login option
Step 3. Applicants must log in using their application number and password
Step 4. The GATE 2022 application will display on the screen
Step 5. Click on the edit option and make the required changes
Step 6. Pay the fee for respective changes and hit submit
Step 7. Download and take a printout of the edited application form
It must be noted that for each correction, a non-refundable amount is required to be paid by the candidates. Applicants will be charged a fee of Rs 500 for committing changes in the following details: name, parents/guardians name, date of birth, address, gender, examination city, exam paper, gender, academic details. For the adjustment or edits related to examination centres, candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PwD categories, and female applicants will be charged Rs 750, while the rest will be charged Rs 1500. However, this is only for those applicants who had enrolled themselves during the regular application window, that is, August 30, 2021, to September 24, 2021.
For candidates who have enrolled during the extended application period with a late fee from September 25, 2021, to October 1, 2021, have to pay Rs 2000 for edits made to the exam centre. SC, ST, PwD, and female applicants will have to pay Rs 1250 in the above case.
Gate 2022 test will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022 in two batches from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm respectively. Applicants who qualify for the test can apply for admissions into the IITs for various MTech courses or start their careers at PSUs.
